1How Plutura is funded
Plutura has two sources of revenue: reader memberships through Plutura Plus, and advertising. Plutura is not owned by a bank, brokerage, financial institution or financial product company.
2Editorial independence
Advertising, sponsorships and other commercial relationships do not determine Plutura’s editorial conclusions or coverage. Paid placements, sponsorships and other commercial content are identified where applicable.
Advertisers and partners do not review, approve or edit Plutura’s editorial content.
3Display advertising
Display ads appear in reserved positions on article, section, search and author pages, and are served by third-party advertising partners. They are labeled “Advertisement”, are never styled to look like Plutura navigation, buttons or articles, and never appear over site controls or Plutura AI.
4Advertising privacy and choices
Before we start showing ads, we will update our Privacy Policy and Your Privacy Choices to explain which advertising partners we use, what information they collect, why, and the choices you have, and the required consent and opt-out controls will be in place before any advertising technology runs. When ads are active, advertising partners such as Google may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to Plutura and other websites, unless you opt out or your choices or browser signals, such as Global Privacy Control, turn that off.
We will not use Plutura AI conversations, comments or sensitive personal information to target ads or build advertising audiences, and we will not send them to advertising partners.
5Sponsored content
Sponsored articles are paid for by a partner and produced separately from Plutura’s editorial content. They are labeled “Sponsored” at the top of the page and in every listing, and name the partner.
6Affiliate relationships
If an article includes links from which Plutura may earn a commission, the article says so near the top, and commissions never decide what we recommend.
We will also place a clear disclosure next to the recommendation or link itself, so readers see it before they act, and we will disclose other material connections, such as free products, payments or personal or business relationships with a company we write about.
7Paid partnerships
Any event, series or newsletter produced with a commercial partner names the partner and is clearly labeled as a partnership.
8How we label commercial content
Every commercial placement carries a visible text label. We never rely on color or an icon alone. Labels appear before you click and on the commercial content itself, and they stay with it when it appears in emails or other formats.
- “Ad” on compact placements such as in-feed cards
- “Advertisement” on display units
- “Sponsored” plus the partner’s name on paid articles
- “Paid advertisement” and the partner’s name wherever a reader could otherwise mistake commercial content for Plutura’s own editorial work
9AI and editorial transparency
Plutura AI is a reading companion, not a writer. Plutura’s published editorial content is reviewed and approved by people. Our editorial team may use technology, including AI-assisted tools, for limited support tasks such as research, organization, analysis or editing. People remain responsible for the final published work.
Plutura AI does not present advertising or sponsored content as an editorial recommendation.
Today, Plutura’s editorial work is done by its founder and publisher, Nicolas Castillo, so the person who reviews an article may be the person who wrote it.
